This is an exciting t ime for us at Garden Ponds. Indonesian carvers created statues out of Blue Basalt, Pink Basalt, and green Andesite stones to our exacting specifications and we are ecstatic with the results.
Placed conspicuously throughout the home and garden, these statues can be symbols that remind us to stay calm and centered throughout our day. For the first time, we have loving couple statues with Rama and Sita representing the ideal relationship, from the Hindu story Ramayana. Come and see our sublime life-size Andesite statue of the couple. For the modest garden we have smaller, but exquisite, blue and pink Rama and Sita statues in Basalt. The pictured statue of the couple is made in a light blue stone. These symbols keep us mindful of enriching our relationships with our significant others. What a wonderful addition to a garden scene.
Perennial favorites are our Buddhas, symbols of peace and balance. They are silent teachers. The standing Buddha in the picture greets with a heart mudra, a symbolic, powerful hand gesture to remind us to greet people with open hearts. Sitting Buddhas remind us of the importance of meditation and becoming one with our world. The reclining Buddha reflects our need to rest, relax and take time to find that place of equanimity and rejuvenation.
In addition, we have our new Quan Yin collection of wood, resin, and bronze statues in many sizes. A popular Buddhist deity often used in feng shui, Quan Yin (or Kwan Yin) is known as the goddess of mercy and compassion, a gentle reminder of sweetness, welcome in any garden.
As always, we have other garden spirits that bring joy, gratitude, remembrance, and even whimsy. Our angel statues watch over us, reminding us of family that have passed on and are now guardians who keep us safe. Our large variety of beloved characters and sprites are perfect to make us laugh or bring a smile to a visiting friend soaking up your garden, displayed with such obvious care and ambience.
We encourage you to visit Garden Ponds nursery in Kilauea, home to all these wonderful statues, as well as exquisite pots and plants, rocks and stones. To celebrate our newest container, all of our statues, including our cast concrete and bronze statues are reduced by 10% until November 24th.
